TEIN Super Street for CRX
Hello,
got a problem. My CRX 90 had a D2 suspension and i wanted to upgrade it for a Tein Super Street Damper. When i made the change, my front is complete soft compared to the D2 front....
I see that the springs from the D2 are bigger than the Teins...
Any advise?

Super Street are crap. They don't go low or have good enough damper rates for any handling aspects.
I had them in my old R34 and were average. Upgraded to Tein FLEX much better all round

no.. not even checked the springs.. just went through the net and saw good reviews on tein suspension.
Now that my front is so soft I´m searching for the racing springs but now I have to analyze which ones will fit best for my application.
My thoughts are since the CRX comes with the 1.5 liter engine and I have an H23 swap with these springs that Tein has originally made are not good enough so I will analyze which are the springs that fits better and buy them.
Any suggestion besides the one that I´m thinking? (please don´t tell me to move to flex or whatever suspension because I have already purchased this...)

With that ride height, you are going to need some pretty stiff springs. Im thinking around 600lb front, then tune with the rear rate. The problem then is that you would be reaching the valving limit of of the shelf Koni's. But you can always send them in to get revalved for whatever rates you want.
that's some crazy *** camber. one side looks like it has crazy amount, other side looks normal.....
hate to say it, if the coilovers where meant for that, you should have gone with the flex's. spring rate is a lot higher.
you could ask to see if they can send you the highest rated spring rate those shocks can handle.
even with everyone's suggestion of koni/gc. you'd have to have gotten the race valving, or better an just gotten the race shocks. which would have bumped you up to near Flex pricing.
only difference with the koni/gc is that you would have a better range on what spring rate you wanted to run.

Just look at the picture. His head is being pulled to the outside, you can see the turn on the track, you can see his hands are not centered on the wheel. Im not guessing at why it might look uneven. Im telling you that it is because he is cornering hard. When you corner hard, the outside tires gain camber angle, making them look close to straight up, while the inside will lose camber angle, making them appear more to have more camber than normal. There is no probably about it, it is because he is cornering hard.

70% race, 30% daily...
I have just spend $1300 on the teins so my budget would be around there... The thing is that I want something that fits my CRX and do not need to do hard mods... simple as plug and play

hmmm..... the koni race are about 250 a corner. so you're looking at $1000 just for the shocks. the ground controls will run you about $350. so right there you are looking at $1350. you could try selling your tein's for $1000.
saying that, get the koni race, which is shortened, and the valving has already been changed. next would be to find out what spring height and what spring rate you want. once you buy the ground controls (make sure they are for the Koni's) if you don't like the height or spring rate, it's only $50 a spring, so you can change up your setting for not too much more if the first set of spring rates to meet what you want.
