Questions about swapping an LS into a 96 EX coupe...
So i'm swapping a rebuilt LS into my coupe, and I would like to know a few things before i do so:
1 - mounts: I've got aftermarket mounts, and i've heard that the engine side bracket is different between the D and B series. so besides the mounts, what else should i do? swap the bracket itself? i can't seem to find a solid explanation on this. and some of my friends think that you can't use the same mounts - which i'm pretty sure is BS
2 - A/C - what lines or pump will i have to use? the LS is a 97 and a B engine; whereas the civic is a 96 and D engine... not sure what i'll have to do to get functional A/C in this. different pump/lines maybe?
3 - lastly: POWER STEERING. I can't stand not having it. so what do i need? i've got a 97 pump and d series rack... i have NO idea how to get these to work together. but i'm guessing either Si lines, or a different pump, or both?
i'm only asking because i HAVE searched some and what i have found isn't very clear to me. I don't mean to ask the same question someone has asked already, i just need it to be clearly explained.
Thank you in advance,
- Stallin'

C'mon man. This swap has been done eleventy-billion times. Do you mean to say you couldn't find clear answers to any of these questions? I'm sure I could find a DIY in probably 1 minute or less.
ok - so let's refine that question: will the d series pump work with a d series belt and bracket? it seems it should. if that's the case then i'm good.
ok - sorry - i just need a good "kick" sometimes. what i'm asking now is very pointed and specific. i have read and am looking for verification on this: the A/C will fit onto the engine it seems. however, it looks like i'm going to need the CR-V bracket/idler pulley setup to make the d series compressor and pulley work on the LS. is this correct?
Google your questions and use honda-tech in the search thread.

However there is the matter of the harness that i have heard MANY different things about, and no one seems to agree on it: i have a 96 EX. so i've read that it's either plug and play, or that i have to rewire the second O2 sensor cause it's not part of the engine harness and is actually part of the cabin harness or something. if i do need to rewire it, i haven't been able to find what to do with that... so i'm confused at this point.
You need a '98 - '01 Integra pump and '94 - '01 Integra brackets for PS, everything else can be reused from the civic and will be absolutely plug and play. A '97 - '01 CR-V pump and bracket can also be used here.
Use a '97 - '01 or '94 - '97 Del Sol VTEC AC bracket and reuse everything else from the civic for the AC.

What obd ecu are you gonna use? Chipped or stock? If you use a obd1 ls ecu and a jumper harness you don't need the 2nd o2 sensor.
