1990 crx with zc sohc problem
wazzapenin guy im new to site and i have a small problem thats been kicking my a$$ and brains and was looking to see if anyone can shed some light...
now to the problem.. its the old over heating problem.
to start i bought the rex allready with the swap so dont know much about how it was built what i can tell u is the parts and test i have done and replace
replace, water pump, thermostat, coolant, coolant temp gauge, make sure theirs no air in the coolant system did the water in the oil test all good no white smoke comes out and finally did a compression test all cylinders between 160 and 170 psi and fans work thru a switch
after all this the rex clusters needle still get to the red line after only 5mins of run time any suggestions???? the last thought was the head gasket are backwards cause the bottom hose is cold to the touch but the upper hose does get hot any help would be appreciated

Very possible the rad is clogged... try taking it out and back flushing with a waterhose.
what your describing is lack of flow top hose hot bottom much cooler almost ambient temp...

thnks for your comments.......will try and run water with a hose and i have not run the vehicle yet cause im not sure if i would damage the engine so it heats up sitting in my drive way
I just replaced my radiator cap that was giving my problems
well I hope it was lol I still need to flush the radiator and replace the temp sensor because it isn't working at the moment
