[rant]I was just reading on the hondata website about upgrading my current 4B to the new s200 system but then I read that the cost of the upgrade is higher for the stage 4 users than it is for the lower stage users. So basically I'm being punished because I went ahead and bought the whole deal to start with. It seems to me that the scheme should be the other way around. It should be cheapest for the guys who already have the money invested in the company and it should cost more for the stage 3 to be upgraded and even more for the stage 2. I spent close to 1400 dollars to get my hondata 4B, burner/emulator, and have my ecu prepared for hondata installation. Now I have to spend another 300 so my total cost to have the upgraded s200 system is around 1700. The cost for the current stage 2&3 users is going to be significantly less and in the end they will have to buy a burner and then we will have identical equipment. I feel like I'm gettin kicked in the nuts for spending money with hondata. Maybe this anger is stemming from the other problem I am having with datalogging my a/f ratios but I want some other people's opinions. Do my feelings seem warranted? (mainly concerning the fact that the upgrade costs less for lower stage users than the stage 4 users) The link to the page about upgrades is here http://www.hondata.com/v3upgrades.html

What are my options for engine management in a car that has an obd-0 engine harness? Would I be able to use an AEM EMS with the obd-1 conversion harness? Does zdyne have datalogging yet?

on the flip side of the coin, if you have a 4b, then you are able to burn your own maps, and possibly make money off of other people by tuning their cars. So, it's an investment.
Well, the stage 2 and 3 users are paying less for their s200 upgrade, but they are getting less upgraded since they don't have datalogging or romeditor to be upgradeed.
If a stage 2-3 user wanted to go to the 4b equivalent of the s200, they would have to pay to upgrade to a 4b and then pay 300 to upgrade to the s200 system.
Doug was telling me that only certain new features of the s200 are really nice to have, otherwise you aren't gaining that much by upgrading.

i guess i jump to conclusions too easily. I didn't realize that the s200 had add ons.
I realize the stage 4 is an investment, that is why I chose to go ahead and get the highest level right from the start.
Sorry to waste your time guys. I'm just frustrated with not being able to tune my car correctly. For more on that you can go here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=312269

You can even keep your obd0 distributor instead of going to an obd1 one...
