Really pissed at Honda right now
You know it's funny, when I first got my 93 accord ( my 04 jetta GLS took a **** on me) my buddy told me that "atleast your honda will be easier to work on than your jetta! " WRONG . Wtf? I've had nothing but struggles with this car.
Here's my frustration-
Why in god's name does honda make there mounts impossible to get out? Im attempting the passenger mount, and it seems the mount is damn near welded to another plate underneath it, and there is absolutely no clearance to get it out. Wtf ? Can anyone shed any light on this? I have since cleaned up my tools and went inside because Im so pissed right now

I don't have any help. But I know how you feel.
At lest your cars running (hopefully), my da decided to take a ******* vacation from being my daily driver. Did I mention it's my only car? I hope you get it figured out! Usually when I cant figure something out, after I go inside for a while, or the next day, I work on it again and what ever im doing ends up being super easy. I'd try again after a movie and food or something.

I am guessing you are trying to replace the transmission mount?
It can be a bit tricky as there are a few steps that need to be done.
Loosen the engine mount through bolt, you may need to relieve some weight off the mount with a jack/block of wood to loosen this bolt.
*If you have the factory radio make sure to retrieve the radio security code from H.O.A. You will need to have your cars VIN, and the radios serial number*
Over the transmission side you may have to remove the battery and battery tray to gain access to the transmission mount. You may have to remove the air cleaner to throttle body intake tube for more room. IIRC CB chassis(90-93) cars have the battery in a different spot but same general area as the CD chassis(94-97) cars.
With clear access from above the mount, place a jack/wood under the transmission to take weight off the mount. Remove through bolt, and remove the three nuts attaching the mount to the transmission. Slowly lower the jack to lower the transmission enough to be able to lift the mount off the studs and away from the car.
I cannot recall if the starter(automatic transmission) has to be removed to allow more access for mount replacement.

There should be three studs that attach to the plate and mount via three nuts.
Remove them and the plate/mount assembly should be free of the trans, but you will have to lower the transmission enough to clear the mount assembly from the trans and body bracket. Then you will need to remove two nuts from underneath the mount to replace it, unless your new mount is the complete assembly.

My new mount is just the *top piece* , not the bottom plate if that makes sense.
It feels like there is a nut at #8 but how in gods name can you fit any kind of socket or anything to get that screw? You have to get UNDER that plate to even see it and there isn't that much clearance.

After removing the three #28 nuts off the transmission that attaches the #8 plate to the transmission, and the #41 through bolt at the mount, you will need to lower the transmission down to allow clearance to remove the assembly. Then with it out of the car you can remove the #2 mount from the #8 plate by removing the #35 nuts.
The weight alone should pull the transmission down enough, if not place a floor jack under the transmission and remove the through bolt on the engine side. This should allow the engine to tip up a bit more and lower the transmission.
