I have a skunk2 ss but 2nd gear is still notchy and sometimes it locks me out when I shift. I trimmed down the shifter assembly but it still feels like its caught up. Should I drain my MTF and switch to amsoil? and it'll help this issue?

 

More than likely the 1/2 slider and CS 2nd gear need to be replaced. Ditch the short shifter.
