Need intake manifold diy
I really need a detailed description on how to remove the intake manifold from the head. My engine is a completely stock d16z6. Do I only have to remove the 7 studs to pull it apart enough to lift the head.
didnt you already have a thread for this??
unplug your battery.
take off your fuel line.
unplug the injectors,IACV,TPS,MAP
unhook the hoses for coolant. and the hose to the bottom of the FPR.
there is a brace bolted to the IM and the block for support.
unbolt the intake stud bolts.
loosen the throttle cable.
bam intake is loose.
if im missing anything let me know

you'll loose some coolant also that bracket can be a pita to get undone if you don't have some good extensions.
If the intention is to remove it completely from the car, then follow the directions above. And yeah, I could've swore you had a thread about this already.
btw i read this over again and are you just wanting to remove the IM.. if so thats the steps.. if you are wanting to remove the head and intake all in one thing.. no.. there are more steps.. just fyi

How about download a field service manual and stop creating threads about it? And if you say that the FSM isn't detailed enough then I can assume you require someone to do it for you while you watch from the sidelines.
