At the moment my car acquired a rod knock while I'm doing my swap and tuck I want to fix my brakes at the moment the pedal oozzes to the floor I figured it's my brake booster. so I also at the same time would like some sort of an upgrade so I'm wanting to use an itr master cylinder and booster but not sure if it will work, and if it will should I use 97 spec or 98 spec? Also my car came factory with out abs will that yield me anywhere? Thanks

 

Mine always faded to the floor until I replaced the master cylinder.

 

Why would you need an ITR booster and MC if you're not upgrading the brakes? What do you think those two components are supposed to do for you? Did you read somewhere that these were supposed to net you some braking increase or are you making this up in your head because they are from an ITR?

 

The itr master cylinder is 1in which is bigger than the one on my car and looking at the boosters them selfs the itr is a lot beefier

 

itr mc and booster is a waste of time unless you are upgrading the brakes.
ej1 came with rear drums and uses the 13/16 mc. If you kept the front brakes and did a rear disk swap, all you would need is a 90-91 civic ex sedan 15/16th mc, as it bolts to 92-95 civic boosters.
If the brakes are gonna be untouched....get a replacement intended for your car.

keep in mind, if you don't wanna listen and wanna go for a 1" mc anyways, find a 94-01 integra sedan from the junkyard, and get its 1" mc and booster. Flange for integra mc's are faced the other direction than on 92-95 civics so you would need the booster too. With that set-up and rear drums, expect **** braking.

Most of the time bigger is better.... but that's why I presented you guys with the question so I could get some insight because I didn't know

Maybe do some research first. You would have found out, before posting, that if you're not doing any brake upgrade then what you're planning makes no sense. Asking uninformed "what if" questions isn't really thinking logically or technically.

And besides, like you're the first person to think along these lines? Pffff.

And you would think that in 6 months you would have fixed the brake issue.

Then do it all at the same time. Not piecemeal because that makes no sense either.
