Well it USED to be I would change my oil, reset the ECU, make sure there was only a quarter tank of 93, go get some 6 gallons of 110. Get my slicks out air them up. Make sure there are no major rocks or any thing in them. Take out the rear paneling and then pack my ice chest with plenty of soda's and lunchmeat cuz the 1/4 is 100mi. away. Hope this helps.

we usually make a checklist. there are so many little things you have to bring for the races. if its summer and potential to get hot... WATER is the #1 priority. you can't rely on the concession stands for everything.
here are a few basic things to bring: tire gauge, air tank, Long pants, KEY LOCKS if you have wheel locks, etc.

as far as the engine, new plugs, check for any leaks, check wiring if anything has been frayed since last time out, check oil and other fluids

Oh yah that's just how I prep my car and stuff for the races, the stuff I bring... There's a lot of things!!!! Extra plugs, extra plug wires, extra electrical wire, electrical tape, butt connectors, wire cutters, pliers, 2 crescent wrenched, a socket for my street tires, a socket for my Drag slick lug nuts, a long breaker bar, 1/2drive rachet, 1.4 drive ratchet and a complete tool box, and one last thing for things that don't want to cooperate bring a larger then normal rubber mallet (and make sure it isn't a claw hammer.... this isn't a house we're working on.) Air compressor, there are a lot of things, just go once and when you need something then you will remember it next time, that's how I did it... Just take a shot at it then you will realize what else you need. Hope this helps.

Try to have all this ready a week before the race or a least a few days before. I'm sooooo tired of all nighters.

Drop front tire pressure to 25 psi
Back tires's @ 32-34 psi
Stiffen up back shocks
Clean out car
Check nitrous pressure(900-1100psi)
Chek fuel pressure
Check plugs for detonation
Check for any fuel, nitrous, or coolant leaks
Shut off radio, fog lights, AC, etc
Find a damn helmet and have fun
