Default Magnaflow Exhaust systems & Coupe.

Ive been told Magnaflow only makes Exhaust systems for the Sedan 4 Cyl 2.3L, which is longer than the coupe.
Has anyone with a coupe modified the Sedan version by cutting and welding?

Also does anyone know another performance exhaust system that would fit the accord 2.3L 4cyl 2 Door COUPE.

It should be exactly the same? My eBay exhaust (now replaced with a Megan M-GT muffler) for an Accord EX Sedan fit on my Accord EX Coupe no problems. They are basically the same length, the doors on the coupe are longer to make up for the lack of the rear doors.

When i went to check out Magnaflow Full Exhaust catback applications they only have it available for the Sedan. I call Magnaflow and they tell me it doesn't fit and would need to be modified due to length. And they were unsure if flanges would match one another.

I'm literally telling you they are the same. lol Think of all the different Magnaflow systems that Magnaflow makes, do you honestly think some random help provider would know what he's talking about OTHER than general knowledge? My eBay piping is just a cheaper version of that, and it worked on both the Sedan AND my 1994 CD7 EX coupe. The two vehicles also use the same heat shielding as well. Even as a general reference, Wikipedia on the Accord 5th gen's has the length for both the Coupes and Sedans in 94-95, they also use the same engines, catalytic converters, and both have the same trims in the rear for muffler clearance.

Im thinking just like you. I even called Summit racing they said the same, as well I also spoke to to Magnaflow tech at Magnaflow. Odd

I was thinking to get Magnaflow OEM graded Cat Converter, as welll as the full exhaust Magnaflow, for 2002 accord Coupe 2.3 L 4 Cyl.

860 bux with taxes I see here at a place in toronto

Why in the heck do I always do this? The 6th gen's are definitely different sizes, I thought you were talking about the 5th gen's. Totally went right over my head, I have to stop coming on here after work. Too many primer fumes.. lol

Anyways to cutting and welding, you could easily extend certain pieces of the exhaust to fit. But is it worth it to you, or would you rather have a nice solid bolt-on KNOWING you didn't have to modifying from stock (well, Magnaflow stock) form.

The mufflers are the same EX to EX; LX to LX. Catalysts, 'A' down pipe. But the resonator 'B' midpipe carries a different part number. If the wheel base is longer on the Sedan than the coupe, you may be able to just chop out the extra length of the Sedan pipe to fit your coupe.
