1990 honda accord LX. The cooling fan does not run with engine running, but when engine is hot and with engine turned off the fan runs for a little bit.Not sure if this is normal of electric fans or something might be wrong.I already replaced fan switch.

 

Look for bad connections at the engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT) connector and if they're good replace the ECT. It should be sticking out of the thermostat housing.

 

I am trying to replace the condenser fan motor on my 96 accord. However, when I try to loosen the nut the motor spins inside. is there a trick to getting the nut off?

 

There are two engine coolant temperature switches, A & B, that are used in conjunction with the fan control module. The A switch is located in the thermostat housing and the B switch is located in the upper radiator hose connector.
