Icon6 1996 Honda Accord Coolant fan control module

My 96 2.2L Honda Accord LX coolant fan does not turn on anymore once the engine shuts off. The fan used to spin regularly upon turning off the ignition until the engine cooled. We live 6 miles uphill from the ocean in Hawaii and the engine does get quite hot after this climb. Is there some way to check the coolant fan control module behind the glove box to verify if it is operational? I tried jumping ECT switch B wiring, ignition on, that controls the fan with a paperclip but nothing happened. Is it possible to jump wire the fan control module itself to get the fan to spin?

First apply direct battery power to the fan motor to be sure the fan motor itself isn't blown. Is it really hot where you live ? The fan shouldn't regularly come on after you turn off the ignition unless it's really hot out.

Also note - if you are jumping thermo B (upper hose to engine) - DO NOT turn the ign on. You do this test with the ign off.

Thermo B only has control of "the fan" when the ign is off.

I know the fan motors are working as I jumped the ECT switch A and both fans turned on. Also, with AC turned on and ignition switch on, both fans spin. The coolant fan as a rule always turned on after climbing the hill back home when the engine was shut off. All of a sudden it no longer happened. The engine even overheated once and the cooling fan did not turn on even though I could hear the water boiling in the radiator.

I tried jumping the thermo switch B with ignition off and the fan motor did turn on. Eureka! Thanks for the tip. I think I've isolated the issue to a defective thermo switch B.

I was going to say if you needed a module they had a half off sale at the yard today and they had one in good shape with almost everything there
