hey, honda crv....has spark, fuel, compression....three things that make a car run....it will not run, even tried a little starting fluid and would not fire...any ideas?

 

what have you tried? how did the problem start? ignition coil?

you said its turning but it wont start? not trying to insult you but how did you check you spark and fuel? what was the compression across?

 

if you have spark, fuel and compression it SHOULD run, unless it is electrically messed up somehow .

These are know for bad distributors, and they do have timing belts so ya never know

 

timing belt could be in 2 parts. take the valve cover off. its 7 10mm nuts.

 

Did you check multiple plugs for spark? I had a similar issue, but only pulled 1 plug. It had spark, had to tow it to dealership. Upon inspection it was the distributor cap and rotor, the screw came loose and ended up tearing apart the cap and button. After replacing those parts it ran like new. Just my experience with a similar issue.

 

checked fuel pressure, checked each wire coming from the dist. cap for spark, checked the timing belt, everything is good all across...still no idea..fuses are all good...

 

try checking the main relay to the PGM-FI.


check that it's clicking when you turn the key on. or better yet find the power wire to the computer and see if you got power
