where to get an aem bypass valve asap
I need to get a bypass valve but all the people that sell them on ebay have horrible feedback... do you know of any reputable online sites to get one for a decent price? thanks.
yes, but is it really worth risking serious damage?
no way could i afford the consequences of not having a bypass valve and something occuring...

Another alternative you might want to consider is to cut your AEM CAI near where the stock airbox was located and mount your air filter there and by doing so essentially create a short ram setup for when it rains. I had one of the original AEM CAI's and did this, it only takes a few minutes to go from "dryland CAI" to "wetland" shortram setup.
You'll need to buy a piece of the silicone hose and a couple hose clamps to tie the two pieces of your intake pipe back together when you go back to the "dryland" setup. It may not look as nice as a bypass valve, but it works. Also, not that it makes that much difference, I've heard that you actually lose a litte HP when you use a bypass valve.
Just a suggestion

buy one, you'll just be pissed off that you didnt spend the 30-40dollars getting one when you bend a rod by sucking up too much water, not to mention having a madly hydrolocked engine.

if your gonna get a bypass valve mite aswell sell your cold air intake and get a short ram. the bypass valve takes away alot of horsepower. and why you worrying about hydrolock when you live in san diego? are you gonna drive your car into the pacific ocean?
if you still have the splash gaurd under the bumper and wheel well, youre fine.
the bypass is bullsh*t. i used to have an accord with the front end 3 inches off the ground and an AEM CAI... drove straight through el nino season and no problems whatsoever. as long as i avoided trying to make it a honda hovercraft, nothing happened.

Try Nopi.com but I hate dealing with there hold time until you get helped. Thank God I'm a dealer of some of this stuff so i go through WILCO. If you get, it will be the best $40.00 insurance you can give your self. Here in Houston, all it does is rain.
