AEM CAI
You can drive around your car when its raining without the Bypass Valve, you'll still be fine. But if there's a big puddle, you need to avoid it.
I've heard that the Bypass Valve isn't all that great. It breaks and makes the car lose a bit of power, as compared to a whole/full pipe.
I have an AEM CAI without the Bypass Valve and I have no trouble with it. I never drive it in the rain anyways, so the Bypass Valve won't be needed in my case...

I got a bypass valve, and a 2 3/4 inch hose (inner dia.). when the weather is nice or I'm going to the tracks I'll put on the hose. When the weather looks shitty, I'll put on the bypass valve. Five minute job if that.

This may sound stupid but out of curiosity what are the chances of the AEM CAI sucking water while the car is going through a drive through carwash (in neutral of course) ?
