Enthusiast questions about the k24

Icon2 Questions..

Came across k24a1 for an irresistible price a while ago but have few questions on it...

K24a1 vs k24a2 head: k20a2 head flows better and higher lifts and durations due to its larger ports? And vtec mechanism

But if you polish and port match a k24a1 head you will get a similar flow

As far as the vtec mechanism if you swap it for a k24a2 (guessin i cant use the one from the k20a2) vtec mechanism would you have to do tuning to it? Why( this could probably be answered with what's the difference between the 2 mechanisms?) Read some where it messes with the valves so the żdegree? On the a2 mechanism would need to be changed or something like that not sure what they meant or was talking about. A2- conventional vtec? And a1- vtec-e (for economical?)? If so like what do they do differently the makes the performance differ?

Could I simply swap the rocker assembly from the k20a2 or k24a2. Read somewhere the bolt pattern was diff. Not sure.

As for bottom end the k24a1/a2 difference is compression ,the oil squirters, and oil pump correct??... But when adding mods squirter isn't really preferred seeing how for racing mods oil on cams are preferred and as for compression and pump they will both be swapped. Other than that the a1 bottom end would be ideal?

Just questions few questions for now
