I am getting some bogging around 2000rpm's...just very slight. I have done some searching, and found some ideas to check my timing..

Besides checking to ensure the timing is good...is there anything else I might need to check. My plugs are new, and the wires, cap and rotor are in very good shape. I was told they were just replaced at the beginning of the year...just before I purchased the car...

check that the TPS is to spec.

 

Inspect the tune-up yourself. Everyone likes to say that they just did a tune-up on the car. I just dealt with someone who said they replaced the plugs a week ago when in actuality they looked a year old. Just make sure

 

I checked the cap and rotor and it looks pretty good, the rotor is not burnt at all, the contacts on the cap look really good. I am not sure how to check the wires...they don't look cracked or worn at all.

I will read up on how to check the TPS and check that also. I am not sure if the vtec is working or not...I have no CEL...but could the vtec having issues call this bogging to happen??

 

On the wires, make sure they have a clean connection to both the distributor and spark plugs.

And I'm assuming you have a d16y8, the vtec crossover is hardly noticeable and if you do feel/hear anything its at 5.5k rpm I believe.
