Default Replace Stock Speakers

I am replacing the stock 6.5" speakers (front & back)
in my '94 Civic Coupe.

I'm going "off the shelf" no amp.

Any BRAND suggestions?

Sony Xplods are cheap but durable... I have mine in 5 years now and they are still hitting like new. But Alpine,Kicker,JL or even JBL are top brands.

I've enjoyed my alpine type S's for a few years need a better deck tho still rocking a hella cheap one that the previous owner put in. and I can have no more then +2(out of 6) bass and I have to have the mid/treb turned up to 3 or else I get tons of distortion lol

What kind of HU do you have? Need a price range too.

I prefer Infinity, or Alpine. Go to you favorite car stereo store and listen to some speakers. Find what sounds best and go from there.

Pioneer makes a set of 6.5" round speakers, that while not being great speakers by any means do sound ok with a good headunit and they fit without having to trim anything (shallow basket design)

Yeah, I'm not looking to do any modification.
Just replace with something good.
