I have a 1990 Civic Sedan Automatic
I was driving my car just fine, At times when i would turn off my car to pump gas and my key would not come out of the igntion, Then ill have to start the car again and turn it off for the key to come off, I have had the problem where the Park gear gets stuck and it doesnt let me move it to Drive before, I would simply turn off my car wait a second or so then ill turn it back on and i would be able to drive it fine. Last night i was working on the car pulled up the drive way just fine when i was done working on it, my car wouldnt get off the park gear. It was completely stuck, I turned it off figuiring it would go into Drive once i turned it on like it always does but it didnt, I took the center console off and found out when i press the break on my car it wasent moving the LEVER allowing the Park gear to move into Drive. It works just fine if i use the shift lock option. I can then move it into a gear before i start the car. My question is what can be the problem here
