Oil Pump Leak / Rebuild Question
About one year ago I replaced my transmission by pulling the engine/tranny. I replaced the front/rear seals. I also removed/reinstall oil pan to try and fix a leak that showed itself on both sides of the pan. However, started leaking again not too long after the job so I replaced the PCV to ensure crank pressure was low. Still no luck. Leak is about 1/8 of a quart per 3K oil change. No blue smoke out the back btw.
Before I replaced the tranny, I did a compression test (all good) and tested the oil pressure. I found the pressure was within the service limit. I was trying to get all jobs done that were required while it was all out of the car.
I recently took my car into the dealership for a recall. While it was there I asked them to look at my oil pan and tell me if the pan is leaking or the front/rear seals. To my surprise/disdain, they told me my oil pump needs to be rebuilt. I was never able to get an answer to "why". My question is, could this leak be attributable to the oil pump? Also, I looked at Majestic Honda and I can't really see that you can "rebuild" the oil pump. It looks like you can only replace ($250) it if it is out of spec. Any advice is appreciated.
I'm attaching a pic of my engine while it was out of the car - only one I got but it may show some clues to the leak.

Probably just a bad seal. Here, click this.
Yes, you can overhaul / rebuild the oil pump. You should consider buying a Helm's Service Manual for your car. (p/n 61S5C01)

Ouch. One moment please (sonufa$#&*@). Wish I had caught these threads before I replaced the tranny, timing belt, yada yada last year. I think this seal is definitely my problem after reading the threads. A few additional questions:
1) I like that oil dye, I'm going to check that out at Autozone. Any concerns around what it does to the oil properties?
2) I'm looking at section 8-8 in the SM (I appreciate the admonition, btw
) but I'm still not seeing a "rebuild". All I see is they say take a bunch of measurements and if they don't meet the service limits, replace the whole pump. That, coupled with Majestic not selling individual parts, leads me to believe that an Oil Pump overhaul is really just an Oil Pump replacement?
Thanks for your help.
