VAFC and throttle %
i floored the pedal today and the reading on the vafc only went up to around 94.XX%, but when the key is in the on position and i floor the pedal, the vafc reads 100%...what gives. i have had the vafc installed for about 1 year using kenji's vafc harness...can someone tell me what is going on?? thanks for any help.
TPS. Make sure you are reading the correct voltage @ WOT.

^^ I have step by step how to adjust your tps (if that is the problem).

with the car off here are the sensor settings:
OFF
Pres: 2.795v-2.8v
Thrt: 0.415v-0.42v
CDS: 5.065v-5.07v
does my throttle voltage seem kinda low???? if it is low what could cause this and what should or could i do to remedy this? thanks for any help!!

my car does the same thing. in fact it'll stay at 0% when the ignition is on until a more-than-enough amount of the pedal is pressed.
the voltage is normal; mine is at that when the car is on ON, but when the ignition is on, it goes down to 2

im pretty sure there is nothing wrong with the TPS, the car is barely a year old with about 10k on it. and besides i dont feel like trying to get to the TPS.....those stupid blank head bolts really **** me off. whenever i feel like checking the voltage on it i imagine all the work involved
.
what else could it be?? anyone?? thanks!!

Sounds like your TPS sensor might need adjustment.
Idle TPS voltage should be between .45-.5 and WOT should be around 4.5~4.6
Get that adjusted and then have your VAFC "relearn" the TPS % again

NO NO NO NO!
it is most likely the VAFC itself...
please RESET the vafc.
and see what ur results are...
i wasted almost a tank of gas messing around with the throttle cable...
ughz!

The VAFC installation instructions actually tell you how to correct the throttle reading. You have to go to ETC, the to the setting that has the arrow pointing to the upper right. Once you are to that point you leave the throttle open for 10 seconds then you hold the throttle to the floor for 10 seconds. After you release the throttle, you can turn the key off. Make you your car isn't started when you do the prior adjustment. After that the throttle should be corrected and should show 100% at full throttle. A lot of people skip over this step..

i have done this step. when the key is in the on position, but the engine is not started the throttle reads correct if i floor it. but when i turn on the car with the engine on and i floor it in any gear, the vafc throttle % reads only 94.XX% this is the max reading, but again when the engine is not on, the vafc throttle reads 100% if i floor the pedal...thanks for any help....
