HELP!!!! SMOKING LIKE CRAZY!
hey guys new around here and to the whole JDM world, so I bought a 94' civic dx 5 spd with 205,xxx and spent $500 on it, so was told it would need a new head gasket cause it smoked like a *****, then noticed it was blueish smoke so i ripped the head off and sent the head out to have valve stems and seals and have the valves adjusted, then bought a new head gasket. When you started up the motor (D15B7) the RPMs would jump from 8 to about 22, so bought a new throttle position sensor and installed new plugs and the idle was alot less rough and now not jumping at all, so got the head back 2 days ago, threw on the new head gasket and resintalled the head to factory spec following the instructions meticulously...viola, still ****** smoking, at wits end and would like to see if anyone had any suggestions or hints at why its still smoking (now white smoke)
if its white smoke, that means coolant. did you torque the head in sequence and to torque specs?
The only other option I can think of is a crack somewhere in block or head.

JDM world? Buddy, its a 94 civic DX. It barely has 100 hp. It doesn't even have VTEC. Stop dumping money in that **** box unless you are gonna do a swap and a sleeper build. By sleeper I mean leave the DX badging on it.
I didn't wanna be the one to say it but yeh not only is it not jdm but that engine is a turd not worth putting money into. You could at least buy a d16 long block for 500 and swap out the d15.
Just comb craigslist man I see ls non vtec b18's on there for lije 2 to 400 bucks and little d15's that they can't even give away, if I was going to put money into somthing it would be somthing with more than 95hp
