99 accord. lower ball joint boot

Replacing the lower ball joint. Noticed when starting the press that the boot bunches up and looks like it's ready to get damaged. Any suggestions on keeping the boot intact during press?

Lube up the boot just so it can slide through easily and not get damaged??

It shouldn't do that though.
