Default 1990 Civic Si Hatch HELP!!!

Hello I just bought a 90' Civic Si Hatch with 190xxx miles on it for 900$.. I already blew it up. literally the day after I drove it home and really need some help on doing a motor swap. not looking to beef it up at all just looking to do a stock swap straight bolt on to get her running again. I did some research and found out it had a D16 ZC sohc non-vtec.. I honestly cannot find one ANYWHERE and really need some advice on an easy swap that doesnt require a lot of modification(new wiring harness, motor mounts, intake etc..) and im also on a VERY tight budget so i need to keep that in mind too. Please help! im new to cars too (this is my first car) so any type of info/advice will be of help!

How did it blow up? Also, where are you located?

not knowing where you live, you could try the local wrecking yard to see if they have any d16a6's lying around. you could also go with a d16z6, just run the ZC intake manifold, and all the wiring from the ZC onto the z6 and you should be fine.

also, if you just want to replace the long block, buy from here.

a cheaper route would be to find a d15 from another ef and just use that for the time being.

I was cruising down the high way the day after i bought it and we think cylinder #4 lost compression cause it was rattling extremely loud. a minute later it made a loud booming noise and the car shut off. We popped the hood and could see the rod sticking out of the block.. and Im located right outside of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.

for the z6 and the d15, you gotta use all the attaching parts from the zc, and it'll work. you'll also need to use the distributor too. there might be other things im missing, saying that, pretty sure there is a how to in the FAQ on the top of the forum.

Try craiglist or look on Ebay for local pickup.
