i have a 92 hatch and i bought it with the speedo not working and the aftermarket tach wired by an idiot and spikes once in while and shift light works but i replaced the speedo and it still didnt work then i replaced the dash gauge cluster and still doesnt work...
second wire problem, door speakers were removed and replaced with inserts for 6.5" speakers and i just put in new speakers and the driver side door speaker cant go above 10 on the volume and the passager side one doesnt work at all...
please help

 

Check your VSS. Buy another one from the junkyard. Mine went out & I got one from a pick & pull for 30$. As for your speakers, it sounds like wiring issue specific to the connection with that speaker, or an internal stereo deck issue. I had a friend who's Pioneer would cut in & out with one speaker, turned out to be a failing deck.

 

alright and the deck is brand new i took it out of my del sol

 

the new VSS worked after like 2 hours of trying i realized the clip that plugs in was fried so i had to re-wire another clip and now it works but the tach still doesnt work whatever the aftermarket one works a lil better but still not all the time lol

 

Check your tach ground, could be disconnected or not fully grounded. Figure out the deck issue?
