HI HONDA-TECH

I recently change my 00 civic dx auto trans to a 96 dx auto trans . It was plug and play everything fit exept the upper lock-up solenoid the male plug does not fit the female plug of the 96 ..so i took the female plug of the 00 trans and solder it to the 96 trans ..

Then I drove the car and took for a ride shift fine .then all of a sudden it didnt shift gears had to tow it back to my place . The next day i started the car while using a jumper i think the battery is kinda low cause it wont start up. Then it shift fine again. But a few block it stop shifting again . I turn off the car start it up then again shift fine .


Anyone that knows whats happening ???

the car condition

car sat for almost a year
the cars old trans wasnt shifting at all !!
Low battery i think the alternator is not charging it
the idle was high from 800-1500rpm but i go it fix when i replace the trans

When you turn the key from off to ON(II) (engine off), does the charging system light (battery symbol) in the cluster turn on and stay on?

Any CEL codes?

 

Yes the battery symbol goes on ..
CEL code is only my O2 sensor ..

 

Jump the service connector or plug in a code reader to pull the CEL codes. Post them.
