i have installed the kit and found a small difference in the ride (slightly more harsh. But the stability in the corners is greatly increased. I would say it is worth doing. let me know if you need help with the install.

 

I have them in my car. Quite a procedure to install. I recommend you add the trailing arm bushings to your purchase. They make a big difference.

 

i put the shifter bushings in when i installed my short shifter... stiffens up, stabilizes, and makes the shifts smoother... definitely worth the $10... havent had any experience with the rest of the kit though

How to do the rear parts install-pay someone else .
It is a matter of taking the trailing arm completely off the car, unless you know an easier way. Getting the bushing out is actually easier than getting the pin out of it and cleaning all the rubber off. There are threads on this-do a search.
As to the lower control arms-they are fairly simple. You get the bushings for the inner and outer ends and only use them as the shock bushing should still be good. You delinitely want to replace all of the sway bar bushings front and rear along with the end-links fpr the front (and if included for the rear).
DO NOT rebuild the upper rear arms or the front end components. the only thing in front I would change is the radius rod bushings.
We replaced the upper rear arms with stock Honda pieces for about $55 retail. This and some of the other rubber pieces on an older car is a good idea.
Whatever you do - follow the directions in your Helm manual. DO NOT go all out as the suspension can actually be made too stiff for street and track use. The full ES kit is terrific if the is going in a straight line. Another thing, make sure you use silicone grease from ES or a similar product or you will live in squeak city.

I realize you are an ITA racer, but what you're saying doesn't seem to make sense. Yes it make make the car feel stiffer, but overall the stiffness of the ride is more determined by your spring rates. And bushing deflection is a major issue for our older model EF chassis, especially on the lower control arms front and rear. I would suggest replacing the majority of your suspension bushings.

 

i installed a full kit on my del sol With H&R sports over tokico blues, and my ride is very nice. The install was a HUGE pain in the ***, but my bushings were gone after 192,000. I would say only replace what is bad.

 

These are a bitch. I recommend removing the entire arm and having them melted out with a blow torch. Or, get the Prothane ones that come with a new outer shell and you can press the stock shell out, and replace with the Prothane units.

 

I hear too many people bitching about how ES bushings squeak... HA HA!

If you're smart about installation you will do what that website suggested... install Zerk fittings so you can routinely grease your bushings... do it for both front lca's and rear trailing arms.
