2001 Accord EX V6 with 16,000 miles - maintenance question
Hi all, I just bought a 2001 Accord EX V6 with 16,000 miles, it's like a brand-new car! I had a question about the timing belt. I was told Honda recommends it be replaced every 100,000 miles or 10 years. Is this accurate? Since the car is 12 years old do I need to do this or do the low miles allow me to postpone this?
Also, I'm looking for a set of the OEM rubber Honda floormats in tan, does anyone have a set in good condition they want to sell?
Thanks!

Holy jees, I want pictures! I would thoroughly inspect the belts. Perhaps they are still good unless the vehicle has been stored in adverse conditions. With that mileage I would do them anyways.
Thanks! I've actually had my eye on this car for several years. The previous owners kept a mileage log for the car, since 2008 it's only had 3,000 miles put on it!
The timing belt is getting replaced today and it's getting new tires tomorrow, the originals were badly cracked. I'm putting Bridgestone Serenity's on it.

The auto trans in these don't have a good rep.....I'd change the trans fluid with Honda trans fluid, going forward I would also suggest that you change the trans fluid on a regular basis......cut the service manual time/miles in half ?
Good idea, thanks, I'll do that too!
just had to chime and say good find. I have been looking to replace the girlfriends so i've seen some real piles so its good to see some good condition ones floating around.
