Default 1991 Civic Wagon Progress

I have wanted a civic wagon for a long time, and recently I finally found a nice one and decided to buy it. It's a base model 1991 wagon, with 228,000 miles. However, two years ago the engine was replaced and the transmission rebuilt. Drivetrain has 50,000 miles. Also, just a few months ago the clutch was replaced, and full tune up. The car runs great. Here are some pictures of it after I cleaned it up.

So far the only thing I have done to it is replace the struts on the hatch. Now it actually stays up. My next project will be replacing the crappy ebay coilovers with stock struts, and a set of springs from a da integra. Supposedly this will raise the rear by an inch, and leave the front at about stock height, or so I've heard. More updates on this car to come.

Very nice wagon. Always thought above trying to shove the AWD system under Crx. Would be fun haha.

Thanks guys, yeah I feel like a kinda lucked out finding a wagon this clean. Like other old hondas though, the paint is getting pretty faded in parts. The roof and hood especially, everywhere else it still looks pretty good. But anyways last night I took the hood off, sanded it a bit, primed it, and sprayed a few coats of duplicolor perfect match on it. Unfortunately I only had 1 can which was not enough to get full coverage, so it does not perfectly match the rest of the car, but I actually think it kinda looks cool. I will probably re-do it later on though, or just save up for a full professional paint job. Who knows, but here are some pictures.

and an engine bay shot...

Overall, I think the hood looks great. Not perfect, but a lot cleaner then how it was before. Also I got a cheap set of rubber floor mats from walmart and cut them to fit the wagon nicely. I think it makes the interior a lot cleaner.

New suspension on the wagon. :D
Seems to sit a little higher than stock, but I'm not too sure. I sure have a lot of ground clearance though. And it rides awesome!

Love the wagon, I can't believe how clean the interior is! Looks like you could take it off road with the new suspension.

The suspension has settled a bit over the past year. It has been great though, taken it through lots of snow, mountain roads, etc...

Now I'm looking to lower it a bit though. I was thinking of using 2.25" lowering springs made for an 90-93 integra. What would these springs look like on stock ef civic struts? I think going with integra springs would be better then ef springs because the integra is heavier, so the springs designed for it will give me less body role/be stiffer. Since stock integra springs raised the wagon by about an inch over stock, 2.25" integra lowering springs would lower me only about an inch compared to stock, which is the ride height I'm looking for; a little bit lowered, but not slammed. Does this all sound right, or would you recommend other springs/setup? Thanks!

Just use civic springs. The wagon isn't that much heavier. You can compare the weights from Wiki or something.
