boosted crx problems
I have a 91 crx with a mini-me swap (d16a6 with y8 head) im running Cp Pistons, Scat Rods, Block Guard, Arp Studs torqued to 70 ftlbs, port and polished head, t/3 t/4 turbo, Dual Core Fluidyne radiator.(car is currently at 10psi) The problem im having is when I drive for about 30 minutes or more my car will slowly start to overheat. It has a new head gasket, oem honda thermostat and new water pump. Also there is no air in the cooling system which would cause it to overheat. Its not smoking or leaking coolant or anything. Its driving me crazy trying to figure this out. It doesnt matter if I go into boost or not it will overheat after a drive. Ive also tried adding pusher/puller fans and still nothing.
any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is your intercooler leaking? I'm not really sure. Try flushing the radiator fluid. And put in 50/50.
Sounds frustrating. Maybe something came unplugged. Do the fans kick on?

I flushed the radiator added water wetter and added 50/50, The fans are always on. The only other thing I can think of is since the turbo is so close to the radiator since there isn't room in the small engine bay that the extra heat is affecting the radiator. I was thinking of using a turbo blanket and exhaust wrap.

technically a lower temp stat wont let your engine run cooler....it just opens earlier to let in coolant. exhaust wrap is your best bet maybe a hood spacer too would dissipate the heat. fans arent runnin backkwards are they?

like some have suggested, your fans may not be coming on and/or wired incorrectly. was the headgasket put on the right direction? as silly as this seems, it has happened.
Thermostat is the wrong answer.
Exhaust wrap is probably the best place to start.
A heat shield can do wonders as well.
How close is your turbo to your radiator?
Have you considered a half-size radiator rather than a full?
Is your tune good?

I was running into the same problems in my EF hatch. Can you post pictures of your set up?
Does the car overheat if you just let it sit at idle?
Did you try rebleeding your cooling system? (If you have a sleeved block/block guard it can take a while to actually get all the air out, I had to bleed mine for about an hour before all the air was out of the system)
Is your thermostat working? (after a drive is the bottom hose just as hot as the top hose?)

My turbo is right next to the block, like 1/2" from touching. My turbo was heating the hell out of the water around the cylinders. I installed a good turbo blanket, and heat wrapped a few things and my temps went from creeping to 212 driving normal and staying there to peaking @197 under acceleration and then falling back to 184-ish.
