ok so about a week ago I went to leave a relatives house to go home and my car wouldn't start, so I called a buddy and he told me to do the fuel pump relay test, did it with no luck long story short today i dropped the gas tank on my 1988 crx si and replaced the fuel pump because after a lot of tests I figured that was the problem, well i went to start the car afterwards and still no luck, so I did the relay test with the diagram that i got off of here and i still didn't start, here's the catch when i plugged the relay back in the car started and ran for about 10 maybe 15 seconds then sputtered and shut off. so i started it again and the rpms started to drop so i tried to give it a little gas to keep it running and as soon as i did that it shut back off. now it acts like it wants to start and kinda does for maybe a half of a second and the same result it stalls/shuts off. what could this be? i just dropped $130 bucks on a fuel pump and it doesn't seem like thats the problem. could it be the relay?? maybe fuel filter?? And before i replaced the fuel pump the car ran off starter fluid?!?!?! any help would be GREATLY APPRECCIATED!!!!!!!
