Default Heater fan on full constant and hazard lights on when lights are turned on.

Hey,

I'm having a total nightmare with my car just now. I have two issues with the electrics right now. One where the fan heater goes on full speed no matter the setting when the ignition is switched on and the other is that both the green turn signal lights plus the blue full beam light illuminate when i turn my cars lights one.

When i flash my full beam the blue light turns off so its the opposite way it should be. I think there might be an earth issue but not sure whats causing the fan to be on all the time.

Lights - you probably have the incorrect bulb type installed into the turn signal/parking light receptacle.

Blower - if you remove the blower relay, does the blower now stop running? If so, test the relay.

Thanks for the reply!

Both the left and right hand turn lights work and so does the hazard lights. It's just when you turn on the headlights that both the green bulbs go on constant on the dash.

How would i test the relay? I have a multimeter.

I was only adding some information to the thread. Thanks for the screen shot!

The lights turned out to be the pin popping out of the connector on the back on the dials.

The fan is still playing up. I swapped the relay over with another one yesterday but still the same fault. I will test with multi meter tomorrow.

The fan situation is now still on full speed only but i can change vent to window and to window/floor combined. I can change to recirc air or let in fresh air but no speed, temp or other vent control. It's like the control unit is faulty.

Yes the motor stops when the relay is pulled.

If you instead unplug the connector to the mode control motor, does the blower motor still run?

or

If you instead unplug the connector to the fan switch, does the blower motor still run?

There are two connectors on the JDM unit. I'm measuring the switch over from window to window/floor combined via continuity and 12v. If this is unplugged then the motor stops.

So unplugging the fan switch in the heater control panel stops the blower motor from running, right?

I tested the pins that run right into the motor that changes the angle of the vent but only the window and window/floor option provided a reading on the multimeter.
