Default should I even bother trying to get my idle correct with exhaust leaks ???

Car idled like **** when I first got it. Found leaky brake booster, replaced. Cleaned IACV TWICE. Cleaned map sensor and purge cutoff solenoid. have inspected all vacuum lines. No CEL but still I get a lightly surging idle. its nowhere as bad as before but it still does it on really hot days, and at stop lights I will feel the car lunge forward. The only thing I can think of doing is fixing my exhaust leaks.

Already checked and cleaned all grounds.

Should I give up until I can fix my exhaust ??

Its a bone stock DPFI 89 CRX DX

I would rreally like to learn about how this DPFI works, how the intake manifold and throttle body work (specificaly those wierd vacuum diaghphrams). does anyone have this section from the Helm manual ?? All the ones I download online are for the swet motors that I do not have.
