Right front side knocking noise over pot holes
I've been having this problem with my front passenger side. As I am going over pot holes with my right tire I will hear a knocking noise everytime. Also when I press down on the front right side I can hear a noticeable (not loud) squeaky noise.
I am also having bad tire wear on the front right side as well, I think this has something to do with it because I had the car aligned and it did not seem to fix the problem.
I thought it was my struts but I don't think so now because the car handles just fine in turns and also it absorbs just fine over bumps.
The car has a newish ball joint and upper control arms. I suspect that the upper control arm is at fault here because they were ebay low priced brand ($57 for both). They're only a year old.
Could a bad upper control arm cause bad tire wear? I am really concerned about this because I just ordered new tires and my old ones (because of either alignment or a bad control arm) only lasted me 20,000 miles. Not good at all.
So let me know what you guys think. Thanks.
PS,
And another thing, since my car is out of balance right now, while I am driving down the highway I can hear some kind of rattling on the right side where the knocking/popping noise is. Its like a rattling noise at high speeds because of the vibration from being out of balance.

I suspect that the knocking noise is coming from the joints where the stud bolts down at, cause its like spring loaded.

I just want to be able to test and see if this is REALLY what is wrong.
Main questions:
1: Is this what is causing my bad tire wear?
2: Is this my problem why my car makes this popping/clicking noise?

Hey guys nevermind I found what was causing the noise, one of the nuts was loose. I could literally wiggle the arm with my hand lol.
I hope this fixes the tire wear problems I've been having. At least I know I don't have to buy more control arms, those things are expensive!
