05 CRV AC problems
Like many CRV owners I suffered the loss of my compressor. I had it replaced. It did not explode but we did flush and vacuumed the system before we refilled it. It seemed to work for a while but now it only runs when the engine is cold. Once it gets up to normal operating temperature the compressor shuts off. Even if the car has been sitting for hours once the daytime temperature goes up it doesn't work anyway. I can get it to work in the morning and evening once it cools down outside but otherwise the compressor wont turn on. I checked the fuses, relays & refrigerant pressure but all seem fine. Both fans work so it's not overheating. It seems to be a temperature sensor problem but I'm not sure if or where that may be located. I may have to break down and take it to a AC mechanic or the dealer but hopefully I can get some advise of what else it might be before I dump more money into it.
