Default will a chipped p28 work like a p07

I have looked around quite a bit. Will a p28 chipped with p07 base maps behave like a p07 utilizing lean burn and utilizing the egr valve? Just finished cleaning up and prepping to put my vtec E in my car. I'm going back to obd1 with a conversion harness. I have a 00 dx with an si harness and vtec engine.

How's this look?

Thought I wanted a red valve cover but in the end I decided on Green for a green engine

Christmas?

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=p07+map+on+a+p28

"the P28 will remove the need for the wideband that the P07 requires, but will also remove the lean burn mode that makes the VX's mileage so good.

also note, in cali you will fail emissions.

if you're dead set on running the Z1 on a P28, you'll need to convert the wiring to run a standard 4 wire O2 sensor and chip the P28 with the P07 maps (which you an find on pgmfi.org) "

Thank you. That was the information I was trying to locate. I am pulling out my d16y8 and rebuilding the bottom end. I will use my p28 for now to get the swap going and then I will track down a p07 and ngk 5 wire o2...

What's the best intake to use to add an egr valve to. I'm having a lot of trouble finding the z1 intake.? My y7 looks like it has a blank enough spot to add one...

Wait you are trying to build a VX motor with a d16y8 bottom end?

No this is a jdm d15z1... it says d15b on the name plate... it stamped p07 all over it. it has roller rockers. It's a vtec e. I have a y7/y8 mini me now but the rings are gone...gonna pull it and rebuild. use this vtec e meanwhile.
