so basically..I cannot get my head lights to turn off without pulling fuses or lighting relay, also dash illumination stopped working on speedo, stereo lights up, but speakers dont come on...before purchasing a new relay..tail lights wouldnt function at all..now they light up when pressed..but no running lights...

all was working fine for over a year of owning it..ghettoh wired stereo had a groundwire melt at the same time electric issues began..so pulled stereo..clipped all wires off so none exposed..pulled radio fuses..still not fixed..any ideas

 

Double and triple check all grounds first.

I had a problem a while back similar to yours. After a lot of head scratching I found the problem. Begin by unplugging all the light buls at the front of the car, ALL of them.

Then see what happens. If the problem is still there, do the same at the back, You have to unplug ALL of them remember the third brake light.

If the problem goes away, you have a bad light bulb. That happened to me and it was doing all sorts of crazy things to the electrical system.


If the problem is still there, then leave all the bulbs unplugged and go to the fuse box and start pulling fuses one at a time and checking to see if the problem goes away.
