90 dx hatchback build still learning
i have a 90 hatchback d15 and gunna have a 91 si d16. my 90 has headers aem intake and msd set up with wires. im looking to fix it up but need sum help on were to start pretty much still learning everything so if anyone can help that would be great and il post some pics of the car when i get a chance
well im getting the d16 to put in my car for two reasons one is because the 15 is a little run down when i got the car and i put miles on it and two because it still has dual point. and ive read that fixing up a D series isnt worth it my money is limited and im not sure were to start i want to fix up D series but not sure exactly if its worth it..
ok i pretty much just got the 91 si the engine and tranny is pretty much better than mine so right now im guna swap them. and i want my car to ride good and be able to keep up you know if they wanna mess around i at;east have sumthing that can keep up and not make my car look dumb i wanna cherry it out and have it run good. and thanks for replying
Who are they? Zee Germans? Anyway, 91 Si is a nice and easy upgrade. It looks like you will be running it with AEM cold air intake, and non-OEM header - great! First things first, though: you need to convert to MPFI and swap ECU from stock to PM6. FAQ has a ton of info on this process. Good luck.

ha what i meant by ''they'' is the other guys in my area that drive hondas but most likley my cousin bc he has a 91 si zc with high compression..its pretty quick so im just trying to get mine to run good. and ok when u say to swap to mpfi im sure that means not to use my dual point that i have in my 90 bc the si is mpfi i heard dual is pretty gay and i drove the si and it runs a whole lot better then my 90

Ok cool thanks and I have the Ecu for the swap from the si so are you saying that after u put the other engine in that I cnt just plug in the Ecu I wuld have to wire it? And as far as higher compression how wuld I do that? Can you give me links or help out a Lil bit thanks
And can you tel me were i would be able to get some parts and if I cam it would i e able to just can it or wuld I have to get other stuff to it wuld be able to handle me caming it?...
I don't want to sound rude, but maybe you should get the MPFI swap figured out first. Get it running, tune it up well, see how it feels. This is a perfect start. Once you decide it is not enough - put that D16A6 in, have fun with it. Still not enough oomph? Now consider Naturally Aspirated build, or turbo, or B-series or higher, or whatever rocks your boat.
Do you already have the tools to do everything you want now? Did you also consider the amount of money you will have to invest? I hate to say it but you are behind on your research, and it shows.
I do say these things sincerely, I am not trying to offend or upset you.
Here are your parts sources. We all shop in the same places.
