well im getting the d16 to put in my car for two reasons one is because the 15 is a little run down when i got the car and i put miles on it and two because it still has dual point. and ive read that fixing up a D series isnt worth it my money is limited and im not sure were to start i want to fix up D series but not sure exactly if its worth it..

That all depends on your goals with said engine.

Who are they? Zee Germans? Anyway, 91 Si is a nice and easy upgrade. It looks like you will be running it with AEM cold air intake, and non-OEM header - great! First things first, though: you need to convert to MPFI and swap ECU from stock to PM6. FAQ has a ton of info on this process. Good luck.

ha what i meant by ''they'' is the other guys in my area that drive hondas but most likley my cousin bc he has a 91 si zc with high compression..its pretty quick so im just trying to get mine to run good. and ok when u say to swap to mpfi im sure that means not to use my dual point that i have in my 90 bc the si is mpfi i heard dual is pretty gay and i drove the si and it runs a whole lot better then my 90

you have to either swap the ecu for a different one like the other guy said or rewire your existing ecu to run MPFI, the dual point has 2 injectors and MP has 4 so the computer needs to be able to run 4 injectors after the swap. but yea intake, headers and maybe a new cat, catalytic converters manufactured now are naturally ''higher-flowing'' then your, most likely, original cat. but other then that you can run z6 cams, i think & w/ a new dizzy, and mill your head and use a multi-layer steel head gasket for higher compression. but a D series is only a D series without a lot of building.

I don't want to sound rude, but maybe you should get the MPFI swap figured out first. Get it running, tune it up well, see how it feels. This is a perfect start. Once you decide it is not enough - put that D16A6 in, have fun with it. Still not enough oomph? Now consider Naturally Aspirated build, or turbo, or B-series or higher, or whatever rocks your boat.

Do you already have the tools to do everything you want now? Did you also consider the amount of money you will have to invest? I hate to say it but you are behind on your research, and it shows.

I do say these things sincerely, I am not trying to offend or upset you.

Here are your parts sources. We all shop in the same places.
