Default Transmission case question

I have a s4c out of a 2000 em1 and it is leaking where the case and bell housing meet. Someone put a LSD in it b4 I got it and didn't put enough sealer in between the 2 pieces. I have a friend that is great with transmissions but has never done a honda one. He is a certified gm mechanic. Do I need any special tools to keep everythin inside where its suppose to be while i pull the case off or will I be good to go?

Tell him the follow the Helms manual. No special tools needed for what needs to be done.
