Drum brake problem
Hey!
I changed the shoes and springs 2 days ago on both sides, only right side has this problem.
The drums have always made chew chew chew noise, but it has been weak.
Now its loud! The weird thing is that sometimes its there, and sometimes its not.
I went for a lil drive to make a video of it, but ofc, no sound then
Any ideas what it could be? The drums arent new. They are old and rusty on the outside. Getting new ones tomorrow.
My m8 that is a mechanic says it could be the handbrake not fully releasing.
He sad to grease the brakeband(directly translated from Norwegian. No idea what it is in english). Does any of you understand which part this is and can show me a picture?
But then the noise should be there from when I leave the drive way and not suddenly appear after 10 mins? and then dissapearing again for a lil while and then come back? if it was the handbrake not releasing. My m8 is on vacation, and wont be back for a while so he cant help me.
Going for a 1200km drive in 2 weeks and need the car to pass MOT by then
