Idling and 1st gear problem
Sup HT, I got a 91 ef hatch std model did the monotech mpfi obd1 conversion. Put a y8 swap in there now im having a little issue. It runs and everything but its always sluggish in 1st gear, takes a while to pick up usually around after 1500-2krpm it'll pick up so I trying to figure out whats the problem. Especially going up hill even if I floor it on first it'll take acouple of seconds to actually pick up speed is that normal? Also from time to time im idling at 500 or less sometimes what could be the cause of that?
I have a new timing belt, and new spark plugs which I was told could've been the problem. I don't have any misfiring or anything so I'm stumped. Any suggestions would be awesome thanks!

@EFlovin' the iavc was dirty cleaned it but its still the same, Don't know how to check the tps voltage but if it matters it runs normal when i dont have a check engine light on, but when it comes on thats when it gets sluggish etc. The check engine light i believe is because of the 02 sensor but i had it deleted on my chipped p28.
@sstupid nah it was before all that. well the new timing belt was put on the same time the motor was dropped in i just recently did the spark plugs.

Just some cliff notes of it though: at idle it should be .5v or very close(.51,.52) and at WOT(wide open throttle) is should be at 4.5v
This thread shows everything, even if random issues happen. Worth the read. https://honda-tech.com/forums/tech-misc-15/diy-how-calibrating-voltage-your-tps-sensor-2947986/
You have to use a multi-meter to read it. It's most likely your issue. They have a DIY on here. Ill post the link. It takes 10-20 mins to do for the average person.
