Default Eg/ej cluster help !

Hey guys I swapped out my dx cluster last night for an ex cluster seemed to work fine and I opened it and installed LEDs and put it all back together and now everytime I turn on the switch the temp needle will shoot all the way up and stay there even after I press it down with my finger. I swapped back to my old cluster to check if my temp was actually that high but no car is normal .

Any info on how to fix this or maybe I put it back wrong or do I have to get a new gas/ temp gauge ?

Thanks!

Why did you have to open it up? Did you just not use LED bulbs?
You messed up something obviously. Take the cluster back out. Recheck your work.

the temp gauge is bad. That gauge can be purchased from Honda for around $60 or so. For that much, you're better off getting another used cluster.

That's what I'm trying to figure out if it was me then how could I have done it since its basically just unscrew 3 screws and that's it it's off . Tryin to fix it if it was me by any chance but doubt it .

^^^ if your old cluster works fine and the new one has an issue with the temp.....IT'S THE GAUGE. Too bad you can't swap one onto the other.
