Rotax 215 supercharger on dohc zc d16
They supercharge jetskis that are 1.5L 4cyl.... Why not a honda d16. 250$ gets you a centrifugal gear driven supercharger on ebay used... Im thinking lathe the gear off, create a bearing/mount for the gear side, cut a key slot, slap a pulley, belt , piping, and a tune.... For way under 1000$. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
Tryin to ball on a budget...and have a one-ova-kind build lol
Oh and i have an 89 crx hf zc swap with about 60 thou on her
Thanks guys

Most people don't throw on jetski/boat superchargers, so your responses will be limited, but you should try asking in the Hybrid section. People there have crazy idea's and might be able to help.

OP, it's about different things for different owners. If you want the most power for the money, you stick with what is proven, and therefore cheaper. You might think that slapping on a jetski supercharger sounds like a cheap thing to do, but once you start to realize how much it costs to fabricate things, or have them fabricated, you'll be going back the proven methods for making power.
If you just want to be completely different than everyone else, though..............well that's a different story.
Thanks for the input
My only reasoning is most jetskis take a few years of full throttle abuse before any engine/engine component failures(given proper mtnc.) and im not about to have an ebay turbo blow chunks into my engine, its my dd for now.
I was only hopeing for maybe 5-6psi or so not too much its all stock besides i/h/e pm7 ecu. I believe the 2nd gen zc runs 9.5:1 so i still wanna run rec 90 fuel... Buck that ethanol mixed crap.

you could piece one together, it's the other alternative to a whipple (comptech) superchager.
or ask skunk2 (gasp) yea, ask them and see what they think

I had a supercharged d16.... No fabrication...also you do know the d series spins the opposite way of about everything else out there..sc won't like that..
i have owned a jrsc d series and i own a jrsc b18c now. i am a diy engineer too
some jetskis have way better superchargers than the jrsc honda kits.i do not know which way they spin on the jetski. i have personally rode a jetskit with a tvs1320.
which is over 1.3l supercharger. thats a huge upgrade even compared to a eaton m90. m42 (d series and non v b jrsc) is soo small and outdated now. same the m60 (b series vtec jrsc).
just like dave mentioned you need to convert it to CCW rotation in order to work on our engines. unless of course you reverse the way the engine spins which can be done too. or the jet skit is already ccw
id say do it. but a centi supercharger sucks imo. i perfer the twin screw. the roots style is good for low rpm but twin screw is #1.
i like the low end power but its not enough power imo.
