ISB or TO bearing
Soooo... 09 Accord 3.5 6MT. 65k mi. Trans started making noise about 6-8 weeks ago. Started very subtle. Almost a clunky, deep clicky, marble sound. Only does it when moving. Has gotten louder.
When running(parked) in neutral with clutch up or down.... No noise at all.
In gear with clutch disengaged....nada. Start moving...engaged..Hard to describe, but a light, clunky, clicky, marbles sound. Gets faster with increased speed. Push the clutch in....goes away. If I drop it into neutral at any speed and let go of clutch while moving... No noise. Goes away.
And in reverse doesn't sound like its doing it, but I'm not moving that fast in reverse either.
I'd normally do the TO bearing and the clutch for the hell of it, but its under warranty, so if I touch it and its the ISB or some other bearing I'm not thinking of they won't touch it at Honda.
Also, doesn't show from my experience normal bad TO bearing symptoms. Clutch doesn't slip, doesn't pop out of gear, shifts pretty normal, and like I said, only does it while moving. Touching the clutch pedal lightly does not stop the noise. And I can feel the noise related vibration through the stick if I hold it low enough.
Thx for any input

FYI honda replaced input and output shaft bearings. They actually did 5 bearings but I am having little luck finding the part numbers online to figure exactly what they replaced. Was under warranty so all good.
I use this site to find my part numbers, should be able to isolate your tranny with your model year and trim...

They even show the FSM break down diagrams with the parts list.
