Speedometer issues

Default Speedometer issues

I have a 1998 Honda civic dx when the car is off it doesn't go to zero it goes to 20.and when I turn it on it goes to 40.. When I'm driving it will work from 40 and up .. What do I do???

go to the junkyard and get another speedometer

Yeah that is your best bet, or one off ebay for 90 bucks if you have the moolah.

well first i'd check that it isn't loose then i'd check the plugs for corrosion. if they seem fine try another cluster (if you can). don't just throw money at things and hope they fix them self.
