Default difference between 2000 civic EX and SI engine wire harness

I was looking at on majestic Honda and I noticed that they are the same (I chose 2DR EX vs SI)

So what is the part number of the engine wire harness? There are several and I'm not sure.

Thanks.

They are the same. The difference occurs on VTEC vs non VTEC vehicles.

Thanks. Now that is the one that goes from ECU to the motor? It looks like there is a disconnect in the drawing.

Also what is the difference between the 2 door and the 4 door ex engine wire harness?

Thanks.

They are not the same. a 99-00 civic ex will have the small rectangle plug for the distributor. a 99-00 si will have a square plug.

The plug issue can be addressed with a distributor adapter. How can I get around crank sensor plug issue if I were to use this in an em1 with a b20/vtec?

thank you for your help.

99-00 civic ex and 99-00 em1 use the same harness everything is pretty much plug and play but you have to extend 2 sensor wires and the distributor plug might be true cause i have seen something about it being different everything else works you just need a ecu from the si

you can't say they use the same harness and say some plugs are different. that is illogical.

lol nice ^^^

Anyone has any idea on how to address the 3 wire vs 2 wire crank position sensor issue? I'm putting this gsr/b20 setup in a SI and in my previous setup (in a 96 ek) I didn't have to deal with this problem.

Thanks again.

You could do the bypass trick. http://technet.ff-squad.com/ckftrick.htm
