Ebay Fog Lights Install Problem!
Soo I have everything all set up foglights are already in and everything..i have the wiring set up also, I have the 2 fog connectors with 1 brown female connector and a ground wire, grounded the wire to the frame, hooked the brown male connector to the one hidden behind the fluid res (doesn't fit perfect at all, had to tape it so it wouldn't pop right out). Went inside the car hooked the brown female connector to the male one that was already behind fuse box in blue tape. Hooked the 2 other brown male connectors to the fuse box Slot 1 & 3. Hooked the green connector to the switch and put the relay in a safe place as well as the fuse and connected the yellow wire (which im assuming is the ground wire since it has the C thing at the end) to metal-metal. When I turn the car on the top light on the switch comes on, when I press the switch to turn it on the bottom light comes on as well.. the relay box clicks when I push the button too..i have no clue what I have to do right now it doesn't come with instructions! I will take pics/video if itd help at all as well.
Take a multimeter to each of hte lights, ground one side of the meter and see if you're getting 12v to the fixture. You can also see if the relay is passing 12 volts.
Wish you were close enough to help out - this sort of thing is far easier in person! Do you have a friend that is electrically saavy?
Sounds like your switching circuit is working though; go hi to low beam and see if that relay and the green light go on and off. Then check for voltage at the fog light plug - Seems like you are losing it here, or the lights don't have a ground.
