Pulley...to fix or replace? Which is the right option for me?
Hi...question? I have 2006 Honda Civic EX Sedan...
I changed out the AC compressor last week cause it stopped working. Now I have been hearing a weird a noise coming from where the pulley are...I had a friend looks at it and he says its one of my pulleys isn't moving straight...it well run good for a bit then you see it move from side to side (likes its wiggling). Googled some stuff this morning on my car looks like its the AC pulley. So not sure if I should replace the pulley or is it something that can be tightening up. My friend said the pulley would cost as much as the AC compressor...but good thing I can find parts online for less then what the mechanics would charge...and new. Any help would be great. Thanks!
Don't know if this would help but I also changed out my alternator like 3 months ago and my starter last year and the ac compressor..like I said was just last week.
My car is only 8 years old and yes I bought it used..but I have always been a honda person..and right now am kinda bummed out that honda has let me down on this car.

I would buy a new part. If you buy used, you have a chance of getting a part with the exact same issue. It sounds like replacing the pulley is probably the way to go.
