Looked at a trade and found bent radiator support, unsure of how bad it is?
I went to look at a del sol today and as the subject line says it has a bent upper support. I know they are quite easy to bend back in some cases but I dont want to get into something that is unsafe. The body looks straight to the eye but that can always be deceiving, so I was wondering if I could get someones opinion? As you can tell it looks sort of bad but did not know if i should be worried or if it might be just cosmetic. I would replace it but I know longer have my tgaw/smaw welder due to financial issues.
thats what i was thinking i was also worried about the car not being straight the car I have now needs major body work in the back it has a big pool of bondo on the quarters under a really nice paint job and it cracked :/ but i need a car at the time and it was only 1500
I would look at the frame rails.. If they have larger the normal bends (compare to the other side) then stay the hell away. Hondas are actually made with very good front end crash Idea, so that the engine compartment take most of the energy and not the passengers
Also if the bondo is cracking then I would stay away from it, Bondo will fail and crack at over 1/8 thick. That means there is prob some good damage back there.
