SO i bought a DB8 integra with a B18C engine.

I was told by the owner that its the engine is Imported, witch i believe but how can i tell if its a Type R or not.

He has the right manifold and red valve cover.

My numbers below the B18c start with 2OO****

A friend of mine has a B18CR and his starts with 216****

Help Greatly appreciated

 

What does the intake manifold on it look like? Is it stock or aftermarket?

at the very least the head should say pr3 and not p72

 

pr3-x on the head, year casting of 95 to 01

p73 intake manifold

oil cooler tubing on the back of the block

should have all this

 

Look under and see if this brace is there between the block & trans straddling the oil pan. A GSR/SIR-G & B16 swap don't have this.

 

that brace is missing on most jdm itr engines unless it came as a full swap. importers can get 80 dollars out of that brace alone
